About Our Shop
Originally opened as Sawston Home Improvement Centre in 1973, Merlin Mica Hardware had two well established shops in Royston, Hertfordshire & Sawston near Cambridge.
Since 2021 we now have one thriving shop in Royston, Hertfordshire.
Our key departments are:
Decor - paint, accessories, sundries etc
DIY - Ironmongery, tools, plumbing, car care, electrical, timber
Garden - chemicals, sundries, tools & coatings
Housewares - cleaning, bathroom, lighting, storage, laundry, cookshop
Seasonal - Christmas, heating, Fireside, Camping, Garden Leisure
We are founder members of the ’Mica’ independent’s group of independent DIY/Hardware shops. This means we retain our status as an independent retailer supporting the community, but benefit from being able to offer better pricing to our customers, along with better promotions and advertising which would use up all our time if we had to organise locally!
